DEZ Engineering is led by Mildred Hernandez, a civil engineering graduate with more than 20 years of professional experience across construction, infrastructure, engineering consulting, and corporate design management.
Her career began with the establishment of a construction company, where she gained hands-on field experience managing residential construction and infrastructure improvements for food-industry facilities. This early experience provided a practical understanding of construction operations, project coordination, and the relationship between design decisions and field implementation.
She later transitioned into engineering consulting, expanding her expertise in civil design, plan production, and project coordination across surveying, mining, industrial, and land-development environments.
Most recently, her experience as a Data Center Design Manager within a corporate engineering organization further strengthened her multidisciplinary perspective. Her responsibilities included technical staff direction, multidisciplinary coordination, resource planning, quality oversight, senior design review, project-study support, and resolution of technical issues for complex and confidential AI data center programs.
This breadth of experience informs DEZ Engineering’s practical, coordinated approach to civil design and technical production, combining an understanding of field conditions, detailed design requirements, and the broader demands of successful project delivery.
